Poster Session

 Call for Poster Presentation Abstracts

We would like posters from student researchers from diverse disciplines who are interested in childhood disability (undergraduate, Master’s, Ph.D. level). Abstracts should be no more than 300 words in length (word length does not include title and author’s names). Abstracts should be typed with single spacing, using 12 point Times New Roman font and one-inch margins. Abstracts should convey your research to a broad audience including fellow researchers, students, families and community members.

Please use the following headings to structure your abstract:

Title: Centred, bolded, in capitals.
Authors: Names and Institutional Affiliations.
Objectives: Identify 3 main learning objectives.
Purpose: State the purpose of the research.
Methods: Provide a brief description of the population and data collection methods.
Results: A summary of the major findings from your study.
Implications: Implications must highlight how the research gives hope to families for the future of childhood disability.

Poster Contest: Posters will be judged by a family panel on the day of the event, based on how useful and accessible the information is for a family audience. Keep this in mind when creating your poster!

First prize: $150
Second prize: $100
